Since the Tory leaders of the county council put forward plans for a unitary authority covering the whole of Buckinghamshire, the Tories in Bucks have been at loggerheads.  The Tory leadership of AVDC  has  put forward alternative proposals for two unitary authorities.  Former Tory leader on AVDC told Bucks Herald last year

The county council favours one unitary for all Bucks which in my view is too big, too unwieldy and lacks local representation.

The truth is they don’t think Tory Bucks County Council is well run, and AVDC could do a better job.

Up and down the country councils are struggling to meet essential services because of Tory government cuts in funding.  Now they want to rearrange the deckchairs rather than address the real problems.
