Tory controlled Bucks County Council pledged to produce an annual ‘Local Account’ of its priorities and progress in provision of social care and public health. But BCC has failed to honour this pledge. They have failed to produce a Local Account for the last two years.
The County Council produced the Local Account up until 2016, but now say it was put on hold due to changing priorities!
It was put on hold while we concentrated on more pressing priorities. However, we now have a new leadership team in place and it is their intention to produce a Local Account next year.
This says a lot about the mess the Tories have made of running Bucks County Council when they can’t even produce the annual reports they are committed to. They say it is due to ‘more pressing priorities’. But it clearly has more to do with their failures. The failure to fulfil this commitment is more to do with their failings in social care in our county. What bigger priority can there be?
