"More than ever, Buckingham constituency needs someone who is not afraid to hold decision-makers to account." David Morgan - Labour Parliamentary Candidate
David Morgan - Labour Parliamentary Candidate

Buckinghamshire has a proud history of MPs prepared to question, and stand up to, those in power. More than ever, Buckingham constituency needs someone who is not afraid to hold decision-makers to account.

This is an historic election. We can decide if we wish to continue with austerity – which runs down education, health and public services. Since 2010 we have been short-changed. Schools, hospitals, and the police have been given greater responsibilities, but less money to meet the challenges they face.

The Conservatives are now promising to throw money at these services, but this would still be far less than what we had in 2010. And up until now, they’ve wasted your money.

Buckinghamshire is one of the most affluent parts of the country. Yet we can’t afford to look after our most vulnerable children, provide affordable homes for our young people, or protect our precious environment.  This cannot be right and it has to stop.

The Labour Party has properly costed policies to tackle our nation’s problems. We believe it is important for our plans to receive proper scrutiny. As your MP, I won’t give a Labour Prime Minister a free ride – I will ask questions and require answers.

I’m not interested in becoming a Minister. I want to become an MP so I can hold those who spend your money to account. As an academic, my research and activism has focused on scrutiny, particularly through Parliamentary select committees. I have been an assistant to members of both Houses of Parliament and to a member of the European Parliament. Giving first class service to constituents is my top priority.

I have been a county councillor and am currently a parish councillor. With my experience at Westminster, I know what makes a good constituency MP – and I want to apply that in my own service to you.

I have a love of and great respect for the institution of Parliament, but a PASSION for social justice. I want to serve YOU.
