“The Expressway has no economic justification or democratic mandate.  We need investments in our rural community, in the people who live here, not in the destruction of a cherished corridor of biodiversity.  I am not seeking a Ministerial position, I want to be your representative in Parliament.  To be your voice against our communities being cemented over, at the altar of environmentally unsustainable development.  This constituency cannot be abused as a pitstop between other destinations.”
